In a surprise announcement at E3 2017, Metroid Prime 4 got a title … and that was it's.
What Has Been Confirmed About Metroid Prime 4
We know that Retro Studios does not work after switching to Donkey Kong.
It is rumored that Bandai Namco – who recently brought Dark Souls Remastered to PS4 – released Xbox One ($ 449.98 at Amazon.com) [PC] and PC (the switch version was moved) – is the developer but Nintendo has not confirmed anything.
We know the legendary Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe is a leader in development and his statement about the project reveals very little.
According to Tanabe, Prime 4 "returns to the first-person-adventure roots of the original Metroid Prime game and introduces a new storyline that captures the events of the Metroid Prime universe and takes the story in new directions." [1

Expecting to learn more in the Nintendo Direct: E3 2018 presentation soon, let's take another look at the series.
What is a Metroid?
The Metroid series began with the release of Metroid, a 2D action-adventure game on the NES. Since then, it has appeared on most Nintendo consoles and the 14 games (including spin-offs) have sold nearly 17 million copies.
Metroids are a species native to the planet SR388, drawing energy from other life forms. Its larval form, which resembles a floating jellyfish, is the most iconic and uses four sharp mandibles to grab their prey.
This form makes it increasingly dangerous as it goes through a life cycle that turns it into a massive omega metroid. A few may become Queen Metroids who assist the species by laying eggs.
In-universe, "Metroid" means "Ultimate Warrior" in the language of Alien Chozo. But Nintendo's Hiroji Kiyotake revealed his true origins in an 2004 interview.
"We added the metro subway" Android ", so we got" Metroid. "Http://www.cnet.com/" According to reports, he told Nintendo Dream.
Who is Samus Aran?
Samus Aran, an intergalactic bounty hunter and Nintendo icon, debuted in the original NES game and fights in an orange power suit against the Metroids and the
Their gender was revealed only to players who played the game in less than five In the 80s, a female game protagonist was unknown of – score one for the progressive Nintendo.
The series continues the tradition of Samus removing their helmet or armor in their better ends, so play well if you want to see their true face!
Conveniently, Samus morph ball shape fits perfectly between the larvae of Metroid's lower jaw … they were destined to lead a battle.
She's also been a mainstay in Nintendo's Super Smash Bros battle series, which comes to Switch and is scheduled for a showcase at the E3 2018.
What is Metroid Prime?
It is an indisputable fact that the addition of "Prime" to any name is 100 percent more awesome (Hi, Optimus) and Nintendo knew that.
The Prime Sub-Series began in 2002 with the release of Metroid Prime on GameCube ($ 499.00 on Amazon.com) . It shifted the traditional 2D platform action series to a perspective behind Samus' visor, but should be considered a first-person adventure rather than a shooter.
The game was a collaboration between Austin, Texas-based Retro Studios and Nintendo of Japan, which began after legendary producer Shigeru Miyamoto Retro proposed to take over the project during a visit in 2000.
It went extremely well – CNET sister side Gamespot gave the game 9.7, it has an average rating of 97 on Metacritic and sold 2.82 million copies. She watches as Samus explores the planet Tallon IV while halting the Space Pirates' biological experiments.
Metroid Prime The creature is the last boss of this game, but its defeat does not mean the end.
It was followed by Metroid Prime 2: Echoes in 2004, which scored a gamespot score of 9.2 and an average of 92 on Metacritic.
This adventure brought Samus to the planet Aether, where she discovers a dark mirror dimension and her doppelganger – the predictably named Dark Samus – a reborn Metroid Prime. It did not get nearly as much attention as the first game, but sold 1.33 million copies.
In 2007, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption moved to the Wii. Here, Samus has to jump between several planets as she fights Dark Samus' infection and tries to prevent her archenemy (now allied with the Space Pirates) from corrupting the universe.
The third game is not quite as popular as the previous pair, with an 8.5 by Gamespot and a 90 Metacritic average, and Wii's hysteria led to sales of 1.79 million – a push on its predecessor.
This trio of games was collected in the excellent Wii 2009 release Metroid Prime trilogy, the first two were equipped with motion controls.
The subseries also received two multiplayer handheld versions, the 2006 DS game Metroid Prime: Hunters and 2016 Metroid Prime: Federation Force.
The former was impressive for the time, but looks and feels outdated.
Federation Force, however, was the subject of major fan reactions when it was unveiled – mainly because of its co-op gameplay, the Chibi-style style, and the apparent lack of Samus. It was released for mediocre reviews and holds an average of 64 on Metacritic.
What should I play before Metroid Prime 4?
Prime 3 completes the story of the trilogy a bit, so Nintendo will likely position 4 as a nice jump point for curious switch owners – like the amazing Legend of Zelda
The Prime trilogy remains an extraordinary experience and everyone who is curious, she should play.
It is available on the Wii, but the disc was sold in the US in limited edition. Nintendo has released it as a digital download on the Wii U ($ 499.99 at Amazon.com) so this is currently the best option. Unfortunately, hardly anyone has bought (or still has) this console.
So, do not be surprised if Nintendo announces that the trilogy will be ported to the switch – it just makes sense. All three games are still looking good and the Joy-Cons offer a similar gaming experience to Wiimote and Nunchuck from before.
Outside are also other easily playable (and highly recommended) games of the 2017 3DS series ($ 249.99 at Amazon.com) Game Metroid: Samus Returns and 1994's wonderful Super Metroid, which is on the SNES Classic , Both are 2D platform adventures and offer fascinating worlds to explore.
If you're curious about the original from 1987, it's on the NES classic, but is dated on a large scale. It would be better with Metroid: Zero Mission, a remake that reached the Game Boy Advance in 2004.
Also on this classic handheld is Metroid Fusion, which appeared on the same day as Prime (November 17, 2002) chronologically the last game in the series's time series.
Both Zero Mission and Fusion can be downloaded on the Wii U.
You can also hear from Metroid: Other M. Do not play it, it's not up to the standards of the rest of the series
