According to Liam Tung, reporting for ZDNet, Update 1809 of Windows 10 corrects the issue:
KB4469342 sets Windows 10 1809 to build number 17763.168 and eventually fixes the error that prevents mapped drives from logging on Windows PC.
Microsoft has made four previews with Windows insiders because the update was removed from general availability in early October due to the data deletion error.
So far, Microsoft has been offering administrators a workaround for the mapped system. Problems with drives, but some IT experts have warned against using them, as this can damage business applications.
There are also some issues in this new build, such as Windows Media Player Broken Search Bar. Fortunately, it says on the road that a fix will come on December 11, so this will be another mistake.
