Now that the cat is out of the bag, Magic Leap has released videos from two apps that will be available from Magic Leap One's Magic Earternases.
In addition to the core apps, Magic Leap Create and Tónandi will develop in-house with early-access partners, available at launch
One of the videos shows off Create, an app that transforms users' homes into augmented reality screens. Magic Leap One's spatial mapping allows users to place 3D content on surfaces throughout their space.
The app also gives users the ability to paint in the air.
The video shows a variety of content, including floating jellyfish, sparring cartoon knights, roaring dinosaurs, and floating Rube Goldberg machines ,
Another video gives us a look at Tónandi, the app previously announced by ambient rocker Sigur Rós, but the new video gives us a closer look at how the experience actually works. The app creates in the user's room a mystical environment with glowing trees and swimming fish. When users interact with the content, the soundtrack responds in the same way.
Magic Leap has previously worked with Square Slice, Madefire, Framestore and Lucasfilm. Certainly there will be more apps by the end of the year (also called delivery times for pre-orders).
