With Terminator: Dark Fate on Thursday, Paramount Pictures is offering a brand-enhanced experience for iOS and Android over the AR carousel with camera effects in the Snapchat app.
Starting with the front-facing camera, the notorious, battle-ridden face of the Terminator is modeled with a slider that allows users to switch between the appearance of a human and a robot.
The experience continues with a world-wide lens on the rear view camera. A terminator appears with a cloud of smoke in the user's physical space. Users can then tap on their screens to shoot the human-hating intruder.
