We have been waiting for some time for the latest Android Pie update for current Samsung flagship models like the Galaxy S9 and Note 9, but in the US, Samsung is lagging behind schedule. Fortunately, the One interface seems to have finally been introduced for some lucky S9 owners.
Reddit users have confirmed that the major update for the Galaxy S9 is available on Xfinity Mobile. Comcast's MVNO is not a big carrier in the US, but the fact that the update is finally available for at least one Snapdragon version of Samsung's flagship 2018 is a good sign for other users in the US. So far only Exynos models of the Galaxy S9 had received the official update without beta.
It is not known when the update for AT & T , Sprint, T-Mobile or Verizon variants of the Galaxy S9 will be available. However, today's news is a good indication. We can be cautiously optimistic that the schedule for the release of these devices will be available in February.
To see if the One interface is available for your phone, open your Settings app and select "Software Update." From there tap on "Check for updates". If available, just tap Download and Install to manually retrieve the OTA. Because of the nature of the rollout, you should periodically check that it has not been displayed the first few times.
There's a lot to see with this new update. Samsung has redesigned its software, added a new night theme, and more. To see all the remarkable features, visit our collection of One UI articles at the following link.
