CLEVELAND, Ohio – The driver in a police car, driven by vehicles marked as belonging to the town of Shaker Heights, gave the middle finger to protesters lining the street in University Circle ahead of the presidential debate.
The incident happened when a caravan of vehicles with armed officers turned off East Boulevard onto Hazel Drive, not far from a location where a non-violent protest against social justice, which included Black Lives Matter Cleveland, was taking place.
Early estimates of the crowd suggest that at least 500 people attended the event.

The one-finger salute can clearly be seen on an arm stretched out the window of the third officer’s vehicle.
The BLM march circled the cordoned off areas near the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilions of the Health Education Campus. The Cleveland Clinic and Case Western Reserve University are hosting the debate.
Many protesters called it a night when the sun set just before 8 p.m. when the march returned to Wade Oval, near the Cleveland Museum of Art. The 90-minute debate between President Donald Trump and Vice President Joe Biden begins at 9 p.m.
