A San Francisco beautician who works at the salon house spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi visited earlier this week tried Wednesday to distance herself from the salon’s owner, Erica Kious.
In a statement from his attorney, hairdresser Jonathan DeNardo appeared to agree with Pelosi’s allegations that her appointment at eSalon on Monday was “a facility” intended to embarrass the Democrats for allegedly ignoring coronavirus rules.
“The fact that Ms. Kious is now objecting to Spokesman Pelosi’s presence at eSalon, and a simple top-level review of Ms. Kious’s political leanings suggests that Ms. Kious is promoting Spokesman Pelosi̵

“Mr. DeNardo’s name has now been dragged through the mud for simply following Ms. Kious’s recommendations.”
According to Soleimanpour, DeNardo worked on Pelosi’s hair after getting approval from Kious. DeNardo has worked at the facility for six years and is in regular communication with the owner, the attorney said.
DeNardo claims that the salon owner openly criticized the House’s 80-year-old spokesman, who has represented San Francisco in Congress since 1987, during a phone call last weekend where Kious gave him permission to work on Pelosi’s hair the next day .
“Ms. Kious was particularly interested in the appointment during that phone call in which she made several critical and up-to-the-minute comments about Speaker Pelosi and her alleged responsibility for the temporary cessation of Ms. Kious’s business,” said the statement received from San Francisco’s KRON -TV.
Soleimanpour also said his office had evidence that Kious actually ran her business during home assignments where she “styled various clients’ hair, ignored social distancing guidelines, and hadn’t worn protective equipment (masks) a few days before.” Arrival of Speaker Pelosi at eSalon on August 31. “

He added that at the salon, Kious also “almost forced stylists” to violate orders “for their own financial gain in the form of lease payments,” the broadcaster said.
Soleimanpour claimed his client took “all necessary safety precautions” during the appointment, including cleaning all service areas and wearing protective equipment recommended by the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
In Fox News security footage, timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. PT, Pelosi is seen walking through the salon with wet hair and no mask over her mouth or nose.
PELOSI USES SHUTTERED SAN FRANCISCO HAIR SALON TO BLOW OUT, OWNER CALLS IT “slap in the face”
A screenshot of the text message the owner received from one of her stylists and received from Fox News said, “I’ll be there at 2:45 am tomorrow. The Pelosi assistant just sent me a message to do her hair. “
Kious had said she considered Pelosi’s visit a double standard.
“It was a slap in the face for her to go in, you know, that she feels like she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News. She added that she “cannot believe” that the speaker was not wearing a mask. (The footage suggests that Pelosi had some sort of covering around his neck.)
Speaking to Fox News’ Tucker Carlson hours after Pelosi brought up the backlash, Kious claimed she had visited the salon “many times over the years” and asked the owner to apologize “for the facility.”

“There was no way I could have arranged that,” replied Kious. “I’ve had a camera system there for five years. I mean, I didn’t go in there and I turned on cameras as soon as she came in and set them up. So that’s absolutely wrong.”
