Pelosi’s Labor Day tweet celebrating “hard working families” is postponed amid the effects of the salon

House spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi, who was accused by critics last week of using her platform to harm a local barber shop owner in San Francisco, was called on Monday over a tweet she sent out to address “hard-working families.” “Celebrating Labor Day in the US.

“For generations across America, working people have built the middle class and helped hard-working families progress,” wrote Pelosi. “House Democrats agree on our commitment to America̵

The tweet didn’t go well with some commenters pointing out their recent visit to a hair salon. Security footage received from Fox News, which was time stamped at 3:08 pm last Monday, showed the speaker walking through ESalonSF with wet hair and no mask.

San Francisco salons had been closed since March and were not notified until September 1 that they could reopen for outdoor hair salons. Pelosi said she was founded by the salon owner and owes an apology. Erica Kious denied Pelosi’s allegation, which led some of the speaker’s critics to accuse her of trying to harm a small business owner who is trying to care for their two young children.

One commenter responded to Pelosi’s tweet: “Is this the same middle class that set you up or not?”

Another wrote: “Nice hair.”

Pelosi’s office did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment from Fox News. Not all of the tweets were negative, and some thanked her for defending workers in the country.

Some commentators raised negotiations on a new coronavirus stimulus package. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Sunday Pelosi will refuse to negotiate unless Republicans are willing to spend at least $ 2.5 trillion.

“The speaker refused to sit down and negotiate unless we approve a $ 2.5 trillion deal in advance,” Mnuchin said. “As you know, we put $ 3 trillion in the economy when the economy was completely closed and we have now reopened the economy. Now let’s do a more focused calculation. If we have to do more in 30 days, we will keep doing more. “

Pelosi said the democratic proposal would help working families in the country who are struggling to buy food and pay rent. She said in an interview that the Republican proposal has no funding for rents and “next to nothing for food security”.
