In addition to Pixel 3 ($ 800 at Verizon Wireless) and Pixel 3 XL ($ 930 at Verizon Wireless) Google announced a wireless charging station. In fact, the Pixel Stand can charge more than just your phone.
The stand transforms your phone into a digital photo frame and can even mimic sunrise over your phone's display. Here are five things you need to know about the pixel level:
First and foremost, the Pixel Stand is a wireless charger. It charges any device compatible with Qi technology up to 10W. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL charge at 10W, while each iPhone ($ 999 in Sprint) is compatible with wireless chargers at 7.5W.
However, the Pixel booth is more than just a wireless charger the Pixel 3 lineup. If you place a Pixel 3 on the stand, some additional features will be activated.
The first time you place a Pixel 3 on the Pixel booth, the phone prompts you to set the Pixel Stand. Tap Next and follow the instructions
You will be asked if Pixel Stand should enable Google Assistant and enable the Do Not Disturb option if you want your personal photos to appear on the screen docked, or if you want your phone to light up in the morning, fill your bedroom with sun-like light just before your alarm clock.
Digital Photo Frame
If you've decided that the Pixel Stand will turn your smartphone into a digital picture frame, you'll need to select a photo album (or albums) in your Google Photos account. Google also gives you the ability to use the latest highlights found by Google Photos.
If you're fed up with seeing the same photos over and over again, you can change them at any time in the pixel level settings.
Google Assistant Features
If you choose to activate the Google Assistant through the Pixel Stand, the wizard will place small bubbles with suggestions at the bottom of the screen when using the stand.
For example, in the morning you might say "Good morning," http://www.cnet.com/ "Play news" or "What's the weather?" You can tap a bubble to trigger Google Assistant at this prompt , or you use the standard Wake expressions "OK, Google" or "Hey, Google".
The settings page for Pixel Stand is not that easy to find. In fact, it is somehow buried. To do this, open the app Settings and then go to Connected Devices > Previously attached devices > pixels . Then you need to select the gear icon to finally open the Pixel Settings page.
Once you get there, you can change which photo albums are used, turn the Sunrise feature on or off, and choose whether the screen is displayed should turn black when the room is dark.
