Even when you’re ready to get back to the theater, US moviegoers won’t be the first to see Tenet. After numerous delays, Tenet premiered internationally on August 26th before opening in select US cities on September 3rd. Reviews of the film are already online.

The trailer of the film offers few clues about the plot, and if you want to stay in the dark about the anticipated twists and turns of the film, avoid seeing spoilers online until you can sit in a theater – or on your couch – to see Tenet for yourself. Here are two ways to avoid tenet spoilers other than not completely staying off the internet.

Twitter muted words

It may be easy to avoid certain corners of the internet until you can go to a theater or stream tenet at home, but you might not be able to stay away from Twitter for that long. Fortunately, you can use the Muted Words tool to block spoilers.

Tap your profile icon and go to Settings and privacy> Privacy and securityThen scroll down to the Security section and tap Muted and then Hushed wordswhere to add words and hashtags. The terms you added will be blocked on your home timeline and notifications. However, you will still see tweets with your hushed words if you have a weak moment and look for tweets related to Tenet.

Muted words persist indefinitely or until you manually mute them. You can also set the duration to 24 hours, seven days, or 30 days if you have specific plans to see the movie soon and don’t want to think about unmuting it later.

A reasonably recent update and positive reviews are two things I look for in any extension before installing it. Once installed, you can click the appropriate icon in the top right corner of Chrome and add tenet-related keywords that you want to block.

The extension works across the internet, including Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube. A large red box will appear to block content that contains your keywords.
