Protesters took to the streets in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Sunday just hours after police fatally shot a man.

Lancaster prosecutors said the investigation is at an early stage. However, videos surfaced online showing protesters outside Lancaster Police headquarters calling for accountability.

The office released a statement Sunday night that said 27-year-old Ricardo Munoz, who was shot, was armed with a knife and pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday night.
The office said the video showed Munoz emerging from a house and brandishing the knife in a threatening manner.

“A police shootout has a significant impact on a community, as we see with the large number of people gathering on the streets,” District Attorney Heather Adams said, according to CBS Philadelphia. “However, I ask that any reactions be moderated during the ongoing investigation.”
