Edison Mail's major updates for 1.17.0 (iOS) and 1.12.0 (Android) introduce a new, powerful wizard for mixing. Apart from the new calendar integration and the comprehensive customization, you will probably be most interested in the assistant's opt-out feature. It helps to locate and reduce the ever-growing spam jungle in your inbox. Thats how it works.
The wizard is located in the top right corner of the main email viewer. When you tap the option, all new wizard tools (at least the ones you have activated) are conveniently grouped in one place. If Edison's assistant thinks there are accounts in your Inbox that are spam or are not needed, they will be listed under "Proposed Logout."
Unsubscribing spam is as easy as two clicks. Under Unsubscribe tap on unsubscribed accounts that you do not want to hear about anymore. Edison opens a second window with a list of recent emails from this account. If you want to confirm unsubscribe, tap "Unsubscribe" below. If you want to quit, tap the "X".
When you log off, the original contact is removed from Suggested Logout and a subsequent account fills its place. Once you have gone through all the options, Proposed Unsubscribe disappears.
Edison's unsubscribe tool is much faster than scanning spam emails individually There are no longer any spam accounts. In this way, the wizard can quickly check if there are pending spam accounts in the queue. If so, it is no problem to turn it off. If not, you can continue with your e-mail without causing so much spam in your inbox. At last.
