Projectors are a great way to have a home theater-like experience without leaving your home. You can get a big screen that looks great from almost any angle. Most projectors, however, require high ceilings and lots of space, and you̵
UST (Ultra Short Throw) projectors use lasers instead of traditional lamp technology to create an incredibly bright, large-scale image from a short distance. You can place the projector directly in front of the wall and still get a “display” of well over 100 inches.
The premiere does not differ in this factor. You can get it in one of two models, the LSP7T and the LSP9T, which can beam a 4K image up to 120 “and 130” respectively. However, Samsung’s attitude towards UST is a little different from other models currently available.
First, it is the first projector to be certified for HDR10 + thanks to triple laser technology and 2,800 ANSI lumens. In theory, this should allow The Premiere to deliver dark contrasts that other projectors can hardly match.
Since it is a Samsung product, it comes with Samsung’s Smart TV platform that allows you to access streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. The premiere also has integrated woofers and acoustic beam surround sound. That said, you can skip the full sound system setup if you prefer.
In the past few months we’ve seen consumers spend more time at home and how the role of everyday life continues to change. Television has become an entertainment hub, fitness partner, employee, and news source, ”said Jongsuk Chu, executive vice president, visual display business, Samsung Electronics. “The premiere re-introduces the home theater experience with a brand new, compact design, 4K picture quality and great sound for tight spaces that can be used for all activities at home and for furnishing in the living room.
With a UST 4K HDR projector, you get a large, high quality image without taking up a lot of space for all of your media components. Even a small apartment with a large enough wall can benefit from it. The projector even includes a filmmaker mode that disables motion smoothing (AKA, the soap opera effect), so you can enjoy a movie as the director intended.
Samsung says it will release The Premiere later this year in the US, Europe, Korea and other regions. The company announced that it would announce pricing at a later date.
