Setting a favorite station on Pandora has become routine for many, and it's easy to understand why. The app will automatically play songs tailored to your taste to ensure a relatively hands-free experience. And if you're a subscriber, Pandora even gives you the option to save your favorite stations for offline listening when the mobile service is poor by continuously listening to your go-to tracks.

However, the offline feature of the app is useful if you're frequently traveling in low-coverage areas, have a limited mobile plan, or have little or no Wi-Fi.
Pandora's offline functionality is available for Pandora Plus, Pandora Premium, and subscribers to the Pandora Premium family, with the added ability to download content exclusively for the last two plans. In addition, the app only downloads media up to 700 MB in size and does not occupy the last 500 MB of phone memory.
Before we begin, however, you must be aware that you can no longer access all of your media Downloaded content as soon as you cancel your subscription to Pandora and you can no longer transfer stored media to another device or external library. According to Pandora:
Downloaded channels, albums, songs, or playlists (depending on your subscription level) can be listened to in the Pandora app while your subscription is active. However, if your subscription is interrupted, you lose access to your offline content.
It is not possible to transfer your Pandora music collection to an external music library, such as iTunes. If you are outside of our app or accessing Pandora from our website or any other type of device, you will not be able to view these downloads.
Finally, mention the following: Pandora's offline feature does not currently work on podcasts. So remember, when you rely on the service for podcasts.
Manually enabling and disabling offline mode
By default, Pandora's offline feature works automatically. For Pandora Plus subscribers, the app stores the three broadcasters you hear most frequently for offline use, and displays a small "Offline Mode" banner at the top of the screen. While you can not select any channels to save, you can manually enable or disable the feature in the app.
Go to the main "My Collection" page in the app and tap the menu icon at the top -links to see more options. From there, simply tap the "Offline Mode" button to toggle the feature on or off.
If you have If you're a Pandora Premium subscriber, you can also download tracks, albums, channels, and playlists. Just tap the download icon to the left of the play / pause button on the side of a channel. To save individual songs, first touch the music bar to display the song's information card. Click on the three-dot menu button and select "Download" from the command prompt.
Downloaded content is easily found on Pandora's My Collection page. It is indicated by a small green icon in the lower right corner indicating the stored status. To find a specific content, tap All, then select a category such as Artists, Songs, and so on from the displayed list.
If you are out of reach for extended periods of time, you can use mobile data to download content to Pandora. To do this, tap the menu button in the upper left corner and select "Settings". From there, tap "Audio Quality and Downloads" and then, on the following page, tap "Allow downloads over mobile" to enable the feature.
