Schedule emails to send later in Gmail for iPhone or Android «Smartphones :: Gadget Hacks



Power is in the details. Sending an e-mail at a certain time can give you an advantage. Depending on what you are doing, you can read your emails or place them at the top of another person's inbox. With the Gmail app for Android and iOS, you can now schedule your messages to maximize the efficiency of your emails.

It's not just about business. If you remember a person's birthday the night before, you can make sure that person receives your congratulations the next day when it matters. You can even send an e-mail to yourself to avoid a bad date. The only thing holding you back? You just need to know how to use this Gmail feature.

Step 1
: Compose Your Email

First, open the Gmail app ( Android | iOS). Press the round button with the plus sign in the lower right corner. You get to the creation screen. Create your e-mail address as usual and enter the contact address, subject and message text.

Step 2: Schedule Your Email

Now tap on the three dots in the upper right corner. A pop-up will appear and tap the "Plan to send" button at the top. A new popup with four options appears. You can either send your email tomorrow morning, this afternoon, or next week, or choose a custom date. The time zone is shown below in the popup. If you want to select a custom time, you can select the date and time.

Step 3: View and Edit Your Scheduled Emails

When you're satisfied with the scheduled time and date, tap Scheduled Delivery. "If you do, your email will be sent at the time and date you specify.

If you want to see your scheduled email, you can tap the hamburger button and select" Scheduled "in the side menu. Here's a list of scheduled e-mails with time and date, and when you tap one of your scheduled e-mails, you can cancel the deployment, you can not edit the date from here.
