With the Gmail app for Android and iOS, you can now schedule your messages to maximize the efficiency of your emails.
It's not just about business. If you remember a person's birthday the night before, you can make sure that person receives your congratulations the next day when it matters. You can even send an e-mail to yourself to avoid a bad date. The only thing holding you back? You just need to know how to use this Gmail feature.
: Compose Your Email
First, open the Gmail app ( Android | iOS). Press the round button with the plus sign in the lower right corner. You get to the creation screen. Create your e-mail address as usual and enter the contact address, subject and message text.
Step 2: Schedule Your Email
Now tap on the three dots in the upper right corner. A pop-up will appear and tap the "Plan to send" button at the top. A new popup with four options appears. You can either send your email tomorrow morning, this afternoon, or next week, or choose a custom date. The time zone is shown below in the popup. If you want to select a custom time, you can select the date and time.
When you're satisfied with the scheduled time and date, tap Scheduled Delivery. "If you do, your email will be sent at the time and date you specify.
