Spotify Goes Against Ad Blocking, The Following You Should Know

Samsung S8 with Spotify and Other Apps on Screen

Spotify has updated its Terms of Service to ban ad blockers, bots and fraudulent streams. If you use an ad blocker for the streaming service, you should end the setting or you will be excluded from the service.

Spotify sends an e-mail to his users informing them of changes to his Terms of Use. It contained a few simple English summaries in the email. While there were common views that promised speech intelligibility and updating information about third-party subscriptions, applications, and devices. A section of the synopsis was outstanding:

We've updated our user policies to make this clear. All types of ad blockers, bots, and fraudulent streaming activities are not allowed.

Spotify is like any other business with the need to make a profit. However, profitability was extremely difficult, and it was just the first profitable quarter in the streaming service's 1

2-year history. That's an enormous amount of time to lose money quarter by quarter.

These changes are designed to accomplish two things. Make sure Spotify gets all the money it's supposed to get (no ad blockers) and prevent Spotify from paying out money it should not be (no fake streams). Unfortunately, Spotify does not just have ad blockers for browsers, but apps for Windows and Android to block the streaming service ads. If you use one of these options, you should probably stop immediately, unless your account is terminated.

In its wording, Spotify makes it clear that you accept the new terms of use by continuing the stream, and the only way to do this is to close your account. If you continue to use ad blocking, Spotify says your account is suspended. The best way to avoid Ads on Spotify is to pay for the premium service. If you do not want to pay for the premium, you no longer need to use ad blockers and accept the ads.
