This most beautiful time of the year is upon us. Thanksgiving is done, the Black Friday is over and now the most important event of the year begins: Spotify Wrapped. On Tuesday, Spotify, the streaming music giant, released his best-of lists for 201
But Spotify also searches the dataset we willingly hand over to take stock of each individual user.
Yeah, like your drunk -but somehow-cool-uncle, Spotify pops up each year to remind you of the most embarrassing (musical) moments of the past 12 months. Did you pump Lizzo Banger all year? Have you been deeply involved with Mozart? Or have you reviewed the My Chemical Romance catalog from start to finish to regain your youth?
OK, maybe that's just me.
Spotify Wrapped has become an annual institution and gives you a look back Just where you spent most of your musical minutes during the year. But as we tick the year 2020 in a few weeks, Spotify has also included your tips of the decade .
To join the Wrapped promotion, you only need to sign in to your account on the Spotify Wrapped website.
My selection is grim and I do not want to talk about it. But maybe!
If you would like to find your personal playlist showing you the top 100 titles of 2019, then:
- Go to the Spotify Wrapped site and enter your credentials. You can open the playlist during the slideshow. It's that simple.
- Or go to the mobile Spotify app, go to "Search," and you'll find the "Wrapped 2019" card in pretty pink, ready to go.
Unfortunately this is not the case Get your own "Best of the Decade" playlist, which is shared by many other users. A sort of "curated selection" of the best cuts that will suit you, it seems.
Users around the world are slowly discovering Wrapped and, of course, people are starting to discuss (or not) about their top artists. I'm so scared of what my top song packaged in Spotify will be.
