SteelSeries makes some of the most respected gaming headsets, and the company is preparing a line for the new Xbox X / S and PlayStation 5 series. While older headsets should work just fine, the new Arctis 7 Series wireless is definitely worth checking out if you want something new. It is available in the variants 7X and 7P for Xbox and PlayStation for 1
Both headsets use a USB-C connection for 2.4GHz WiFi, which means they are compatible with the PC and Switch, as well as most Android phones and tablets from the last few years. The headsets use 40mm drivers with the standard frequency response of 20-20 KB, and their bi-directional microphones sit on cantilevers that can roll back into the left auricle. They last for 24 hours against a charge.
The PlayStation-compatible Arctis 7P is available in black or white with a blue border, while the 7X is only available in black. The design has one disappointing thing: the charging port on the headsets themselves uses MicroUSB despite the USB-C dongle. So you’ll need to keep the old cable for at least a while longer.
