Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok . Instead of responding to emails, doing banking, reading messages, or doing whatever you want to do on your phone, it's easy to get distracted by the next shiny update or pleasure. You'll need Google's newly launched tool called Focus Mode which lets you fight annoying apps on your Android device.

Focus Mode was originally announced in May last year at Google's annual I / O conference and pauses your most annoying moments apps as long as necessary with a timer that keeps you from using them at set increments. When the time runs out, Google will pause the app.

Google believes that app-timers, such as those in focus mode, help users avoid 90% over-use of apps. You can choose which apps you want to pause, such as Facebook and Instagram, which interrupt you with notifications. However, you can also leave some messaging apps open for emergencies.

Focus Mode is Google's latest digital health promotion feature, as well as digital well-being features such as wind-down mode, which turns the screen into grayscale to make you tired and less interested in watching your screen at night watch. Another feature filters out the blue light, which disturbs sleep patterns and keeps you awake longer.

Apple's iPhones include similar features that let you detoxify yourself from excessive phone use. Experts believe that this can lead to physical stress and psychological dependence on equipment that does not allow people to fully engage with the physical world.

Focus Mode scrolls to all devices with settings for digital well-being and parental controls, including new phones launched on Android 9 and Android 10.
