They bought a fancy new iPhone 11 ($ 699 on Amazon) or bought an iPhone 11 Pro with its amazing triple reversing cameras . The only problem is that all your stuff is on your old Android phone. But just as Samsung and Google have made it easy, from an iPhone to a Pixel 3 ($ 625 at Walmart) or a Galaxy Note ($ 950 at Best Buy) 10 Apple has an easy way to transfer all your data to your new iPhone. It's an Apple-developed Android app called Move To iOS.
This process transfers contacts, message history, website bookmarks, email accounts, calendars, photos, and videos, and downloads all Android apps that are free in iOS App Store. In our tests, this process worked with phones running Android 8.1

I imagine many people are updating older phones running on older versions of Android. On the other hand, at the time of reading this story, Move To iOS may work with Android 9 Pie. We contacted Apple but have not heard of it yet.

Transferring data from Android 8.1 or earlier
As we transfer data, you must first charge both phones. When the batteries are charged, connect your Android phone to Wi-Fi.
If you're using Chrome on your phone and want to transfer your bookmarks, make sure the app is up-to-date before you begin the transfer process.  Next, turn on your new iPhone and follow the instructions until you land on the Apps & Data screen. Select Move data from Android .
Install Move To iOS from the Google Play Store on your Android phone and open it. Tap on your iPhone again on Next on the Move From Android screen. A 6 or 10 digit code is displayed.
Return to your Android phone and tap Next Move to the iOS screen and then read the terms and conditions and click Agree . On the Find Code screen in the upper-right corner, tap Next . Then enter the 6 or 10 digit code when prompted.
Next, on your Android device, select the content you want to transfer to your iPhone, and tap Next . ,
This process may take a while. Therefore, I recommend that you start it at bedtime or at some other time if you are not going to use your phone for a long time. Note that you must leave both phones alone until the loading bar appears on your iPhone, even if your Android phone indicates that the process is complete.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup of your iPhone. Once the transfer is complete, download all the free apps that have been matched in the App Store. Finally, make sure all your content has been transferred by browsing through your photo gallery.
All music files, books, or PDFs on your Android device must be moved manually. However, you can download all this on the Mac or PC using the Android File Transfer app on your Android phone. Then you can add them to iTunes and sync with your iPhone or upload to iCloud Drive.
When you transfer from Android 9 Pie or Later
When you use and transfer a phone with Android 9 Pie For an iPhone, I recommend Move To iOS. If it does not work, there are third-party apps for Macs and PCs that should. A popular app called AnyTrans.
If you're heavily invested in the Google ecosystem, you do not have to leave it if you own an iPhone. There are dozens of Google Apps for iOS, including: Google Chrome, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Photos, YouTube, Google Play Music, Google Play Books, and Google Play Movies.
