Facebook has begun introducing a feature that shows you how much time you spend on using the social network, as reported by TechCrunch for the first time.
It's called Time on Facebook and is currently only available through the mobile app. I've tested a few different devices of my own, and only one (the) currently has the function. However, once you've added the feature to your account, here's what you can expect.
To view your Facebook usage, open the mobile app and select the tab tab (three-line icon)> Settings & Privacy > Your time on Facebook .
A Daily Usage Diagram graph shows how much time you spent on the particular device in the past week with the Facebook app. At the moment, it does not seem to divide how much time you spend using the service across devices. Tap a bar to see the total usage for that day.
You can set a self-imposed time limit on Set Daily Reminder on this page. Once you have reached the set time, the Facebook app will notify you, but will completely block access to the app. You'll need to use the newor .
