Whether you prefer to take a deep breath, prefer guided meditation, or just go it alone, meditation can be a huge added value to your usual wellness treatment.

Stop, Breathe & Think is the name of the emotional wellness platform for the "under 25" generation. The app provides meditations that help teens and young adults overcome hard emotions like depression and anxiety. In addition to meditations, you can take part in short activities where you can check in with yourself, ask questions and really experience how you feel.

The Premium Subscription gives you access to more meditations, music and activities.

I've added this app because it's even more convenient than iPhone or Android apps -go people. Breathing is the mindfulness app for the Apple Watch that lets you meditate quickly without ever having to take your phone off.

With one of the three presets – classic, sharp or quiet – you breathe the rhythm of the animation on the screen. If you answer a call or text message, or move too much during the exercise, your watch will not recognize you for that session.

Breathe is a native app of the Apple Watch Series 4 and will not appear in the iTunes Store. Breathing is not compatible with Android devices.

Cost: Free Trial, $ 12.99 per month, $ 95 per year, or a $ 400 subscription.

A list of "best meditation apps" would not be complete without headspace, the mindfulness app developed by a Buddhist monk of sports scientists Andy Puddicombe. Originally an event company, Headspace now includes guided meditations, animations, articles and videos to help beginners and experts in their meditation practice.

You can test Headspace with the free Basics class, which includes 10 meditations to teach you the basics of meditation and to get you in the rhythm. You can also try a free session from many meditation collections in the app.
