The fall sales season begins with Labor Day in September and ends on Black Friday in November. This year, however, buyers get a special treat with Prime Day deals in October. This means an additional chance to save big bucks on expensive items like home appliances and laptops. If you’re looking for perhaps the best Windows Ultrabook out there, we expect at least a few Prime Day Dell XPS deals. Here is everything you need to know about getting those bargains, as well as some of the early Dell XPS deals currently available.
The Best Dell XPS Deals For Today̵
7;s Prime Day
Amazon announced that Prime Day will take place from October 13-14 this year. That means we’ll have to wait a little longer to see the official Prime Day Dell XPS deals. However, if you can’t wait, here are a handful of discounted Dell XPS 13 Ultrabooks and 2-in-1s to buy today.

When are the best Prime Day Dell XPS deals?
Amazon usually conducts its exclusive Prime member sales in the summer, but Prime Day has been postponed this year due to the public health crisis. That might have been bad news for summer bargain hunters, but it’s lucky for those who love to shop in the fall as it means we’ll get another big blowout less than two months before Black Friday.
As with other sales, most of the best Dell XPS deals for Prime Day go live during the event itself (which will be at least 48 hours). In the week before Prime Day, however, there are always some early Lightning Deals that are offered as a “little glimpse” into the range of sales.
If you see one you like, don’t miss out on those early Dell XPS deals on Prime Day, as there are no guarantees you’ll see it again on Prime Day (let alone at a cheaper price). Even if you do, you can still buy the cheaper one and return the one you bought. Likewise, we do not recommend waiting for Black Friday, assuming the same model will be discounted again. Prime Day could be your last chance to get a bargain on an XPS laptop before 2021.
What Prime Day Dell XPS Expects
From what we’ve seen in previous sales, we expect at least the Dell XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15 to go up for sale on Prime Day. Dell has year-round deals on these ultrabooks. Some of the best discounts this year were on the XPS 13 touchscreen laptops and the XPS 13 2-in-1s, both of which have dropped well below the $ 1,000 mark recently (even just $ 700 – $ 800 for the standard configurations). These also happen to be two of our all-time favorites. So keep an eye on them.
If you prefer something bigger, the XPS 15 is also hugely popular and will likely be discounted among Dell’s XPS Prime Day deals this year, but the fantastic new XPS 17 (which recently joined the Dell stable) wasn’t yet in operation selling so much. Prime Day could be your best chance before 2021 to see big savings on these larger laptops. Do not forget to use slightly older models, as these last generation devices often achieve the largest price reductions in percentage terms.
Should I shop on Prime Day or wait until Black Friday?
Prime Day and Black Friday are just over a month apart this year. This means that if large savings on Prime Day mean that a particular device is out of stock, it may not be replenished in time for Black Friday or even Cyber Monday. If you are concerned about price differences, we don’t expect big price changes between Prime Day and Black Friday season. There is also a chance that increased demand will result in significant shipping delays if you wait until Black Friday to shop, and that your new laptop may not arrive in time for your family to exchange Christmas presents. Shop early with these Prime Day Dell XPS deals and save yourself the hassle of waiting until the last minute for your Christmas present.
Are Any Prime Day Dell XPS Deals Too Good To Be True?
We expect many Dell XPS models to see discounts on Prime Day. That said, there are a few things that every buyer should be aware of. Always do your research before the event so you know what you are looking for and not feel overwhelmed by the number of offers. Even if you can’t go wrong with the Dell brand, be careful when buying other brands of laptop accessories. Always check reviews and ratings if it’s a brand you’ve never heard of before. After all, always trust your gut: if a deal looks suspicious, stay away from it.
How to choose a Dell XPS laptop
There are three models of the Dell XPS in the market: XPS 13, XPS 15, and XPS 17. Here is a breakdown of these models so you can shop during Prime Day.
Dell XPS 13: The XPS 13 is the cheapest of the three, starting at just $ 999. It has a 13-inch Infinity Edge display and is equipped with the 10th generation Intel Core processor. It’s pretty light too, weighing only about 2.6 pounds for its basic version. You will hardly feel like you have a laptop in your pocket when you carry the XPS 13 around. It also has two USB-C ports for extra connectivity and a screen-to-body ratio of over 90%, giving you more space to multitask. Its sleek design and portability features make it an ideal laptop for commuters and newcomers to school.
Dell XPS 15: This laptop has a 15-inch infinity edge display and the option to add an Nvidia graphics card for even clearer images. It’s a little heavier than the XPS 13 and weighs 4 pounds for its base version, but is still light enough if you want to lug it around. The 10th generation processor on this device is also more powerful, so you can easily use high-performance apps like Photoshop. There’s also an additional USB-C port on the XPS 15 if you’re looking for a better port choice. That being said, the design is pretty similar between the XPS 13 and 15, although the 15 has about two inches more screen. The starting price for the XPS 15 is $ 1,199. So if you’re looking to spend a little more, take the plunge and invest in the XPS 15.
Dell XPS 17: The massive 17-inch infinity edge display gives the XPS 17 an almost otherworldly feel. Due to the clear display and the additional integration of the Nvidia graphics card, it is also the perfect laptop for the transition from work to play. The slim bezels also keep the weight of the laptop down: it weighs just 4.7 pounds for a 17-inch laptop. There are four USB-C ports too, and you’ll be happy to know that all four ports support Thunderbolt 3. It also has a sufficiently long battery life of more than 15 hours in the base model and a powerful Intel 10th. Gen processor so you can even use your laptop to play games. The XPS 17 starts at around $ 1,499. However, if you want a huge screen with a lightweight design, go for the XPS 17.
While these are the three models available, Dell makes it easy for you to customize each model. You can choose how much RAM and storage you need and whether you want a more powerful processor and better graphics cards. Take a look at all of the options on offer and customize your laptop to suit your uses. If you can afford the 16GB RAM and Nvidia graphics card for the XPS 15 and 17, go for it.
