Optimized Battery Charging

If you routinely charge the battery of your iPhone ($ 999 on Amazon) and leave it there for a long time, it may cause damage over time. A new option in iOS 13 will help extend the life of your battery by understanding your charging habits and preventing the battery from being charged immediately to 100%.

If you normally charge overnight while you sleep, optimized battery charging keeps the battery of your iPhone at 80% most of the night, and stops the last 20% of the charge just before the alarm sounds.

To use the new features, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Condition and activate it.

The new scroll bar is a small but useful improvement.

Using the new scroll bar

When you scroll through a web page in Safari, a new scroll bar appears on the right side of the screen. Instead of simply seeing where you are on a page, you can now scroll faster. Try it by starting to scroll on one page, then long press on the scroll bar and drag it up or down. The faster you pull, the faster Safari runs.

Scan documents with ease in the file app.

Scanning documents in the Files app

With the redesigned Files app, you can now scan documents and save them directly to your device or cloud storage with minimal effort. Open the App Files Select the tab Browse Tap the three-point icon in the upper right corner and then tap Scan Documents . Hold your device over the document you want to scan and it should automatically capture the page. You can scan multiple pages into one PDF file and then save them to iCloud or import them into another app when you're done.

The iMessage search actually works now.

Finding past messages in the iMessage app has always been terrible. It just did not work. That has changed. You can now search for a single word or phrase and the results are displayed almost immediately.

It's pretty cool. To do this, open the Messages app, swipe down to display the search box and type. Neat, right?

Search your iPhone with your voice.

Wherever you find a search bar in Apple's own apps, you'll find a microphone on the far right. Tap the new icon to type your search by voice instead of typing.

Apps like Settings, Email, Messages, and Today View are just a few examples of where to find the new voice search option.

Share photos with or without location information

You can now remove location information from a photo if you share it directly from the photo app. With the new option, you can geotag the photo and see where it was taken. However, if you share it through social media, emails, or messages, you can remove this information and keep all location information private.

Select a photo (or multiple photos) that you want to share in the photo app, then tap Options at the top of the screen. Disable Location under the section labeled Include .

The new volume indicator is almost hidden … and that's a good thing.

New volume meter

Another overdue feature that iOS users have asked Apple to change is the volume meter. Do you know which popup window will pop up when you adjust the volume when watching YouTube or Netflix?

The indicator in iOS 13 is much smaller and appears from the side of your screen. If you adjust the volume, it is reduced to a small line and hides when you have found the right volume level. Thank you, Apple.

The "hidden" part here is that when this white bar appears on your screen, you can drag the volume up and down with your finger instead of using the physical volume buttons on the side of your iPhone or iPad.

iMessage and FaceTime Receive Dual SIM Support

Business and international travelers will appreciate the support of iMessage and FaceTime for the second number when two SIM cards are used.

Apple added with the launch of the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max ($ 1,099 on Amazon) and the iPhone XR ($ 749 on Amazon) Dual Added SIM support. The feature is convenient for those who do not want to carry separate personal and business phones, or for those who are often traveling abroad and need a data plan that is cheaper than roaming charges.

Prior to iOS 13, users could only use one phone number for iMessage and FaceTime.

How often do you delete apps from your iOS device?

Deleting Apps from the Update Screen

Managing Old Apps That You Have Installed on Your iPhone or iPad ($ 414 on Amazon) Never has priority, or at least, is not for me. I know I've watched the App Store update an app. I know that I will never start this app again. Since the app on my home screen is not easy to find, I do not have to find and uninstall it.

Next time you install an iOS 13 or iPadOS, the next time you see an app in the Updates list that you no longer need, swipe left over the list, and then tap Delete.

It seemed like it would never happen, but with iOS 13 you can control your iPad or iPhone with one mouse.

Use a mouse to control your iPhone or iPad.

It is true that you can use a mouse or trackpad to navigate your phone or tablet. The operation of a mouse with your iPad takes some getting used to – there is no typical mouse pointer. Instead, there is a cursor that more or less mimics your finger.

You can assign shortcuts to specific tasks in the new Settings menu. B. return to the home screen. Plug a mouse into your iPhone or iPad and go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Assistive Touch (Activate this)> pointing devices to customize the operation.

Finally, you can decide if you want to go through your wireless data plan when downloading apps from App Store.

Resolving Cell Phone Size Limitations

Apple has finally given us the ability to remove download restrictions on the App Store. This means you can download a game over one gigabyte in your wireless data plan if you want.

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store > App Downloads to unlock, or let the App Store ask if you have All apps over 200 MB would like to download it.

You no longer have to worry about managing a file downloaded with Safari on iOS 13.

Safari has a download manager.

You can now download files using Safari on an iPhone and iPad. The Download Manager icon appears only if you have an active (or recently active) download. Your download will automatically be saved in a download folder in your iCloud Drive account, which you can access in the file app.

Long Screenshots of Websites

If you've ever had to take multiple screenshots of a web page to capture the text of an article, you may be pleased that the iOS 13 screenshot tool has a new twist. Open Safari, take a screenshot of any website and immediately tap thumbnail preview. Above the screenshot are two options: Screen and Full Page .

The feature works in Safari, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Mail, or Apple Maps.

If you select Full Page the entire displayed Web page will be converted to a PDF file that you can crop, annotate, and save in the File App.
