The Best Smarthome Products We Have Seen at CES 2019 – Review Geek

Every year CES is packed with smarthome tech. So much so that there is even a whole range of companies at the fair. Here are the best new SmartHome devices we saw at CES this year.

Voice Assistant Smart Switches

Many new products that we saw at the show were not necessarily "new" or revolutionary, but many companies came to the market with their own versions of young product categories, including smart switches built-in language assistant.

The Ecobee Switch + has been on the market for some time, but at this year's CES, a few smarthome companies have unveiled their own versions, including Levitons Decora Voice with Alexa and Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Light Switch from TP-Link Voice Assistant. In the latter case, there is no official word with which language assistant he will come.

Lenovo Smart Clock

As you may already know as a review geek reader, Google's Home Hub is our favorite product for 2018, but a little too big for the bedside table. Enter the Lenovo Smart Clock.

The Smart Clock is essentially a much smaller version of the Home Hub, which rocks a 4-inch display instead of a 7-inch display. It can (of course) show you the time (of course), display upcoming calendar events, and it's easy to set alarms and timers. You can even beat it when the alarm rings to either disable or discard the alarm, just like in the good old days.

The Lenovo Smart Clock will be available for $ 79 and will be available sometime this spring. [19659002] Video Doorbells

A very popular product last year was the video doorbell, and both Nest and Ring have done a great job with their own versions. But after CES we now have more models to choose from.

Maximus unveiled a video doorbell with two cameras (something we have not seen yet) – the main camera points outward like any other video doorbell, but the second camera points straight to the front door of your front door in the hope that all remaining packets at the door are captured and kept in frame.

TP-Link also announced its own video doorbell as part of its Kasa brand. And Ring showed a new version of the video doorbell called the Door View Cam, which is essentially a digital spyhole designed to replace an existing door spy on your doorstep.

Lutron Caseta Fan Control Smart Switch

A special product that many users of Lutron Caseta have begged for is an intelligent switch for ceiling fans. Lutron delivered just that during CES.

This switch allows users to control their ceiling fans from their phones and even set the fan speed. And if you do not feel like using your phone but do not want to get up off the couch, the new switch will come with its own Pico remote.

Available in March for $ 80. with the matching Pico remote control for the price of $ 42.

Wi-Fi Smart Locks

There are many smart locks on the market, but there are few Wi-Fi models. However, at CES, we introduced some new smart locks that have built-in Wi-Fi capabilities.

Most Intelligent Locks may be Wi-Fi compliant, but typically require a separate gateway or hub to purchase. At CES, Schlage and Kwikset have launched their own smart Wi-Fi locks called Encode and Halo.

Both models can connect directly to your home Wi-Fi network and be remotely controlled from your phone. The hit encode is also part of the Amazon Key program, where Amazon Delivery drivers let you place the packages inside your home when you're away from home.
