The Motorola One Action is a weapon in the war against vertical video review geek

  Motorola One Action
Motorola

Vertical video has been a problem for years, as services like IGTV seem to make it worse. Motorola wants to prevent this from happening again, with a brilliant new feature for the upcoming One Action. Like many other modern phones, the One Action has a triple camera array on the back. Unlike other phones, one of them is a action camera. You know, a kind of GoPro camera … just with a smartphone.

This unique camera has a 1

6 MP sensor and can only record video (not pictures). The stabilization has been improved to keep the video fluid, and – here's the kicker – a twisted sensor inside the phone that can shoot landscape videos in portrait orientation. It's so awesome that I honestly can not believe it's never been done before. (And do not get me wrong – there is a time and place for vertical videos – most people just do not know when or where this place is.)

<p> That means you can hold the phone comfortably – portrait, horizontal, upright … whatever you want to call it – and continue to record landscape videos. In a world where smartphones can be described as "boring" and that seemingly uninspired most of the time, this is a truly unique feature that should be surprisingly useful. In contrast to the gadgets that most manufacturers throw under the motto "innovation" in their phones. Good job, Motorola. </p>
<p> Like the other cameras, it has a 12 MP primary camera and a 5 MP depth shooter for portrait mode and so on. In addition, the One Action is a very medium-sized handset with a Samsung Exynos 9609 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB of memory and a fingerprint sensor on the back. It also has a 6.3-inch 21: 9 FHD + display and a 12-MP pinhole camera on the front. Oh, and yes – it has a headphone jack. Wild. </p>
<p> Software is running Android One in Brazil, Mexico and Europe. It will receive the usual US treatment of Motorola in addition to Android Pie (9.0). Motorola also guarantees at least two important updates – Android Q and R – for the One Action, which is a pleasant surprise (assuming they are behind that promise). </p><div><script async src=

It is being launched today in Mexico, Brazil and various European countries "For € 259, and soon in Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region. For the US and Canada, the launch of the One Action is expected in October, although no pricing information is yet available.
