The OnePlus 7T Pro is a small flagship, but it probably will not come to the US – Review Geek

Following the recent launch of its OnePlus 7T, the smartphone maker today held a separate event announcing the upcoming launch of its new McLaren OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T Pro editions.

OnePlus 7T Pro

The OnePlus 7T Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 31

20 x 1440 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and the obligatory refresh rate of 90 Hz – the same display as the OnePlus 7 Pro. The display is borderless, which is supported by the use of the well-known OnePlus pop-up front camera.

The reversing camera consists of three lenses in a linear configuration, in contrast to the circle on the 7T. In order: a 117-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, the 48-megapixel main camera and a 51-mm telephoto lens with 3x zoom and optical image stabilization (versus 2x and without stabilization at 7T). Further highlights are the super video stabilization, a macro mode and the improved Nightscape mode.

Inside, the same Snapdragon 855+ SoC powers the non-Pro OnePlus 7T, even though the Pro model powers the battery from 3800 mAh up to 4085mAh and advertises the Warp Charge 30T technology, which charges 23% faster than the 7 Pro and charges the 7T Pro's battery to 70% in just 30 minutes. The OnePlus 7T Pro is combined with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage (no 128GB option).

Overall, the 7T Pro offers a slight specification boost over the company's existing smartphones. Many of the same announcements that were made at the unveiling of this phone a few weeks ago were also adapted in today's presentation, for example, the inclusion of a new ultra-reactive haptic motor that aims to tweak the partnership with PUBG Mobile gameplay on OnePlus phones and features like HDR10 + support, Dolby Atmos speakers and more. One thing it does not offer compared to similar flagships is wireless charging.

There is no word about the availability of the OnePlus 7T Pro in the US, and it is unlikely to enter the region at all, but the unit is expected to be shipped to the UK, Europe, China, Hong Kong and India. Prices were quoted in pounds sterling, with the 7T Pro set at £ 549. Orders are expected to ship from the 17th of October.

OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition

When the 7T Pro is not Luxurious Enough OnePlus has teamed up with McLaren to develop a version of the 7T Pro that incorporates many of the styling elements you get from expect a McLaren sports car. For example, the phone has the same orange-and-papaya color as McLaren, accompanied by an orange-colored horizon light, and orange color schemes preset throughout the phone's software.

In addition to using a distinctive orange hue, the 7T Pro McLaren Edition comes with an Alcantara composite bag used in McLaren vehicles for a good grip. OnePlus said this was the first time that the material was in a phone case. The inside of the case is lined with honeycomb patterns that provide cooling and cushioning.

Apart from the aesthetic improvements, the McLaren Edition is only offered with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of memory. The price is set at £ 799. Delivery of the devices is expected on November 5, a few weeks after the 7T Pro.

Shipped with Android 10, OxygenOS 10

OnePlus Survey Results of why customers continue to use the company's devices. The main reason, according to respondents, is the 90 Hz display, the second reason is the phone's fast charging technology, while the third reason is OxygenOS from OnePlus. Against this background, OnePlus has decided to improve the software running on its devices.

Launched a few weeks ago, Android 10 brings several improvements to the operating system, including not least 50 new changes to the security and privacy operating system, such as: For example, you can have more control over which applications can access your location information. However, OnePlus notes that its OxygenOS 10 also brings many changes.

To begin with, OxygenOS 10 has more than 150 enhanced animations that make better use of the 90 Hz display for a particularly smooth performance. The software can remain in landscape orientation during multitasking, making it easy to adjust between orientations.

Zen mode, which keeps you away from the phone for a set amount of time, now offers options for 20, 30, 40, and 60 minutes. The Gallery app is smarter and can automatically categorize photos based on context, location, or recognized people. Google Lens is also integrated with OxygenOS 10 and offers an image recognition technology that lets you search for something by pointing your camera at it.
