The first benchmark tests are for the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip, and it's not surprising that it's faster than last year's 845. This gives us at least some insight into the expectations of the 201
Obviously, we do not have to cite the mandatory benchmarks as indicators of real world performance because benchmarks are not indicators of performance in the real world. They are a simple way to quantify and compare the performance of the chipset based on raw numbers. They should not be used as something else.
The results for the 855 look good, especially compared to 845, the current chip is in the mass of high-end Android phones today. In fact, Qualcomm claims that there is a 40 percent increase in performance. That's a pretty significant number, especially considering how powerful these advanced mobile chipsets already are.
Recently, Android Police has spent some of its 855 testing its capabilities and comparing it to a slew of modern devices including the Pixel 3, OnePlus 6T, Galaxy Note 9 and more. If you are interested in their findings and the comparison of the 855 with the 845, I strongly recommend that you read this article.
The long and one kind, however, is that the 855 is surprisingly better than the 845. It will be a good year for Android flagships.
