While Sony is known as a company in the US, smartphones are not. For years, Sony has maintained a boxy design with sharp edges and large apertures – but they're finally coming to terms with the trends. That's why the Xperia XZ2 Premium offers a rare combination: A super-strong phone that's also pretty sexy.
Sony Xperia Premium is known for being a bit absurd when it comes to your smartphone. In recent years, Sony has added a 4K display to these devices, starting with the Z5 Premium, which despite its release in 2015, is still over the top.
But this year is different – mainly because the Xperia XZ2 Premium will be officially released in the US. Sony users no longer have to compromise with a tired design, but with great specifications. Instead, they can eat and eat their cake, even though they have to pay a premium price.

The Premium Series has always been Sony's best and brightest offering. And in recent years, the star component was the display.
Already in 2015, Sony had secured the title for the first 4K smartphone display with the Z5 Premium. A few years later, they achieved the first 4K HDR screen on a smartphone with the XZ Premium
The 4K HDR display returns with the XZ2 Premium. It's also bigger than its predecessor at 5.8 ", which has a unimaginable 765 PPI in its size and currently supports Amazon Prime and Netflix 4K HDR on the device.
The XZ2 Premium uses Sony's BRAVIA technology (the TV series) to convert HDR-quality video, and looks even better on the XZ2 Premium
Sony offers two rear-facing cameras on a smartphone for the first time: The main camera is a 19-MP motion-eye camera that uses Sony's G lens 1.8 Aperture The second Camera is a 12 MP monochrome sensor, which also uses the G lens, but has a smaller aperture of 1: 1.6, the rear camera an ISO value of up to 51 200, which should help considerably in night shots 19659025] The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium comes with a 4K HDR display and dual came in the US ras ” width=”532″ height=”532″ style=”max-width:532px;height:auto;”/>
The high ISO is also present in the video recording, where it is at 12,800. The Sony XZ2 Premium is also the first phone to record 4K HDR 10-bit color video in HLG format. Super slow motion (960 fps) is supported, but now at 1080p (720p is still supported). In addition, a standard slow motion (120 fps) is also available.
Sony also includes a feature called 3D Creator, which scans objects or faces with the front or rear camera and creates a 3D avatar that you can share or print. Avatars can be shared on social media, added to an augmented reality world, or modified with AR.
S-Force Front Surround Speaker and Hi-Fi Audio The Xperia XZ2 Premium is the only smartphone to be announced in 2018 (previously) for front stereo speakers. These front speakers are known as S-Force Front Surround and deliver loud (but clear) audio directly into your ears.
Additionally, Sony has added a feature they have called Dynamic Vibration System. Based on the audio data being transmitted through the speakers, the phone vibrates to enhance the sense of immersion.
The XZ2 Premium also supports Hi-Fi audio over Bluetooth including Qualcomm aptX HD and its own creation, the Sony LDAC. The XZ2 Premium also benefits from DSEE HX (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), which improves the quality of compressed files (including MP3 and CD quality) by filling in the higher frequency signals lost during compression. Unfortunately, there is no headphone jack, but Sony has a dongle in the box.
