The Syracuse University sophomore dies in as many days

A freshman at Syracuse University suddenly died late Wednesday – the second freshman death in as many days, school officials said Thursday.

John “Jack” Lundin, an 18-year-old Tuckahoe native, “passed away unexpectedly,” said dean Marianne Thomson in a statement.

The teenager studied magazine, news, and digital journalism at the Newhouse School of Public Communications and lived on campus at Flint Hall. University officials didn’t say how he died.
