Mobvoi is back with another smartwatch, but unlike the TicWatch GTX, it runs Wear OS. The $ 230 TicWatch Pro 3 is the first Wear OS watch to run on the new Snapdragon Wear 41
Qualcomm promises that the Snapdragon Wear 4100 will be 85% faster than previous chipsets and even increase the CPU by 250%. Now we will finally see how big the difference is with the TicWatch Pro 3. Of course, you also get a gig of RAM to increase the speed.
The smartwatch offers the usual features you can expect from a high-end device, including GPS, blood oxygen saturation monitoring, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, and NFC payments. You also get Movois Suite of health apps like TicHealth, TicMotion, TicExercise and TicSleep.
Since this is a Wear OS watch, you can expect the usual features for better or worse there too. While the upgrade hardware may fix our complaints about delays, you’ll still need to browse the Wear OS store on the watch, which can be painful.
According to Mobvoi, this TicWatch is thinner than the previous models, but still a bit strong at 47 x 48 x 12.2 mm. The watch has a waterproof and automatic training recognition IP68, so it should ensure a decent fitness watch in an emergency.
When using the watch’s smart mode, you should use the watch for up to 72 hours. If you use more functions like GPS, the running time will of course be reduced.
You can buy the TicWatch Pro 3 from Amazon today.
