Smartphone photos look a lot better when you hold the camera still, but selfies by nature let you do finger exercises to hold the phone while keeping your thumb free to press the shutter button. However, if you own a Galaxy phone like the S10, you can take perfect selfies with a sophisticated feature on the first try.
Samsung's "Show Palm" option starts a selfie countdown if you let your palm blink on so you don't have to worry about touching the shutter button with your thumb or other finger. To set the function, open the camera app and tap the Settings button in the upper left corner of the viewfinder. From there, select "Shooting Methods", press "Show Palm" to turn it on, and then exit "Camera Settings".
You can now take selfies without pressing the shutter button. Once you're ready to take a photo, show the palm of the front camera and wait a second or two for your command to register. Hide your hand after the circle appears and the camera takes a picture!
