This gorgeous LEGO version of Bilbo’s Hobbit Hole could hit the shelves – Review Geek

We’ve already talked about LEGO ideas: it’s a system that allows independent LEGO developers to submit their designs to LEGO and fans vote. If a design receives more than 1

0,000 votes, LEGO will consider making it a retail set. The latest creation to cross that threshold is Bag End, Bilbo’s idyllic Shire Lord of the rings and The Hobbit.

The set was designed by “saabfan” and is beautiful. It uses a base that looks like an open copy of the book, with a Tolkien quote in the corner. Bilbo’s house contains iconic elements from books and films that you can see thanks to a removable roof. The rooms have a kitchen, pantry, living room with fireplace, bedroom and laundry room. Both the outside and the inside are overflowing with small organic details.

Reaching just 10,000 votes doesn’t guarantee that LEGO will select a set. However, the company has a strong relationship with Warner Bros. and is already working with LEGO sets and video games Lord of the rings (among many others). If you’re impatient with the 1 to 2 year process of getting a set of Ideas onto the shelves, check out an animated 3D version of LEGO Bag End here.
