The set was designed by “saabfan” and is beautiful. It uses a base that looks like an open copy of the book, with a Tolkien quote in the corner. Bilbo’s house contains iconic elements from books and films that you can see thanks to a removable roof. The rooms have a kitchen, pantry, living room with fireplace, bedroom and laundry room. Both the outside and the inside are overflowing with small organic details.
Reaching just 10,000 votes doesn’t guarantee that LEGO will select a set. However, the company has a strong relationship with Warner Bros. and is already working with LEGO sets and video games Lord of the rings (among many others).
