This is Apple's new Memoji customization in iOS 13

Apple's iOS 13 will include more Memoji features.

Apple offers you further options to customize your Memoji avatar as the company announced this week at its WWDC convention . The update, available with iOS 1

3 includes more skin colors, new makeup, accessories, piercings and even the ability to customize your teeth. Apple also lets you use Memoji in a brand new way.

Memoji is another way that Apple is trying to personalize your device while standing out from the competition. While Samsung phones are equipped with AR Emoji avatars that you can create, the 3D renderings first blew us away and Samsung barely mentioned this feature as it did its Galaxy S10 – Brought mobile phones to the market. Google has not released its own memoji competitor, although stand-alone apps like Bitmoji are still popular for iPhone and Android.

Where can you use Apple's Memoji?

Memoji can be used in news and email apps, as well as in your other favorite apps.

With iOS 13, you have more options for skin colors, hair designs, and facial hair. There are several tabs that you can switch between to access each category (skin, hairstyle, eyes, etc.). In each tab, use the slider to adjust the skin, hair, and make-up colors.

You will also notice more accessory options, such as hats, eyewear, AirPods earrings, suspenders and piercings. Adjust your teeth by giving your memoji a gap, a missing tooth, and even a metal grid.

What are Memoji stickers?

Instead of using emojis when sending messages to your friends, you can use your personalized memoji stickers. Once you've designed your Memoji, your iPhone ($ 1,000 on Amazon) will automatically create a sticker pack that you can use.

Where to Find Your Memoji Stickers

If you're in the News app, Mail app, or other apps, tap the globe icon to access your emoji. From there, swipe left on your emoji keyboard to display all of your memoji stickers.

Where do I go to personalize my memoji?

Tap the Animoji icon in your News app, then tap the Plus icon Create your memoji.

When will I see this new update?

The updates for the Memoji avatars will be released this fall with the launch of iOS 13 .

Will the memoji update be available on all iPhones?

As long as your device has an A9 chip or higher, you can use it. This means that you must have a iPhone 6S or higher and a fifth-generation iPad ($ 249 at Walmart) .
