If you've ever messed with a phone, you're familiar with booting in recovery mode. You're probably used to using a combination of hardware keys to start the recovery. These usually include the power key and one of the volume keys. The thing is, you do not really have to press the power button.
With the phone turned on, open the power-on menu and select "Restart" to reboot the phone. Just hold down the volume up key during reboot. When your phone turns on, you can release the button and you will now be in recovery – as I said, much faster.
You still need to press and hold the power button and then the volume up Press key to exit the "no command" screen for restoring stocks TWRP will start immediately. It's also worth noting that some phones have a different keyboard shortcut to recover. If this is the case, replace the volume up key with any key and hold it down during a reboot. Just restart your phone and press and hold the volume key to send fastboot commands Dallas Thomas / Gadget Hacks
