This makes your Android screen very dark at night

  Samsung Galaxy Fold 65

Bright screens are great except when you want to deselect them.

If you stare at the light blue screen of your phone at night, falling asleep can be difficult, and the harsh light can also cause eyestrain . Until the dark theme in Android Q is available on your phone, there are several ways to reduce the screen brightness, besides the usual brightness slider, to make the screen even darker. Note that various Android phones, such as the Galaxy S10 Google Pixel 3 (465 USD at Walmart) and LG G8 may use different name tools.

Nightlight dimms your screen light to a sepia color, which makes it less harsh for your eyes. You can access it from the settings menu or the Quick Settings area by swiping from top to bottom over your phone.

Method 1: Settings

1. Go to your Settings App.

. 2 Tap Show .

. 3 Select Nightlight .

. 4 Tap Turn on now .

. 5 Adjust the intensity color.

. 6 You can also adjust the start and end times (if you do not want to leave them all day) by tapping Schedule .

Method 2: Quick Settings

Drag the notification tray down. The Quick Settings menu appears at the top of the screen. Touch the nightlight icon to turn it on.

Most androids have the option to reverse the colors on the screen – white changes to black and the other colors change to make the eyes less hard. However, this affects the appearance of the photos and videos.

If you have a Google Pixel, you can simply open the on-screen menu and tap Invert Colors . On your Samsung Galaxy, go to the Accessibility Settings, tap Vision scroll down and activate Negative Colors .
