Chances are you've come across a YouTube video at some point – probably on Facebook or on a site like Senior Planet. Here are some tips and tricks to get the most out of your viewing experience: Get rid of ads and watch full screen.
While these tips are specific to YouTube, you'll find many of the controls we talk about in videos that were created on other video sharing platforms.
Fundamentals of Consideration: How to Watch Full-Screen Video
Bigger is better. To make your screen bigger, just click on the icon in the lower right corner of the video player.
To exit full screen mode, simply press the Escape (ESC) key on your computer, which you will normally find at the top left of the screen.
Basics: How to play and stop the video
The Playback and Pause / Stop controls of the Video players use the same symbols as the previously used cassette players.
To play the video, press the Karat-shaped play button at the bottom left of the video player
Need to take a break? To stop or pause the video, press the Stop / Pause button. Then press Play again if you are ready to continue.
How to mute the video sound
Hate the sound of it ad? You can mute and unmute audio on your video by clicking the button on the bottom left of your video player, it looks like a megaphone. If you see the small "x" next to the mute icon, you know your sound (19659002)
How to get rid of ads
As they say, nothing is free in life, this is true f or some videos on YouTube. There are two types of video ads:
- Ads running before the video you want are started.
You can skip these ads after a certain number of seconds and continue with your video by simply clicking "Skip Ad" when you see it in the bottom-right corner of the video player. (Before you skip "Ad" You will see a countdown of the remaining minutes before you can skip.)
- Ads viewed via video You can close these ads by clicking here Click the Close button in the top right corner of the ad.
