Android users have been asking Google for years to add a dark theme or a dark mode to the mobile platform. With Android Oreo, Google added a dark mode that was activated based on the background used. Google removed the feature and said it was accidentally released. Starting withnot only is Dark mode back, but there is also a manual way to switch to it when needed.
Why would you like to use a dark mode on your Android device outside of your look? According to GoogleIt turns out that all the empty space used by Google (and Apple) in recent years consumes more power, which in turn drains the battery. A darker interface requires less power and less load on the battery.
To switch to Android Pie in Dark Mode, open the App Settings and select Display . Then tap Advanced and scroll down until you find Device theme . tap it, followed by Dark .
That's all that goes with it. If you now see your app drawer or the quick settings card (swipe down from the top of the screen), the mode is in dark mode.
