Ratings and reviews are everywhere, from a restaurant you want to try, to a new camera you want to buy , and games you might want to play. Podcasts are no different. Reading reviews on shows can help you figure out which ones are worth listening to, and your opinion is valuable to others as well. Apple podcasts have a variety of ways to read, rate, and review programs.
Interestingly, Apple offers a way to read, rate, and review podcasts in the Podcasts app and the iTunes Store. Obviously, the first way is more practical if you are looking for a new series, or if you have just listened to one and want to share your thoughts about the personality of the host, the depth of the theme, and so on. In both cases, however, you can only read, rate, and review shows and series, not individual episodes. So think about it. If some episodes have a negative and some positive experience, rate them fairly.
: About the Podcasts app
In the Podcasts app, locate the series or show detail page. You can manually search for it on the Search tab, select it on the Library tab, tap the link to it on the Listen Now tab, or tap the link of the show in the Now Playing modal when playing an episode. click.
Scroll down the detail page of the series or show to Ratings & Review . From there you may be able to read reviews by clicking on "Show all". If you have already heard it, tap the appropriate star (from one to five) that you would like to give to make a rating. To explain your rating, touch Write Review to share your opinion, and then click Submit.
The above method works on iOS 11 and higher. For older versions of iOS, you can still do this through the Podcasts app, only it looks more like the iTunes Store details page (see below).
In the iTunes Store app, look for the series or show on the Search tab, but do not touch an episode or podcast title. When you tap a podcast object, it opens in the podcasts app. Of course you do that and then follow the steps in Method 1, but to stay in the iTunes Store, you need to use 3D Touch. Unfortunately, Haptic Touch does not work here, even in iOS 13.
Press the button for the series or show it in the Podcasts section. This does not work for episodes. After the forced press, you will see the details page. So press on to go to it. Then tap the "Reviews" tab. You can read other people's reviews here and rate and rate them yourself by tapping Write Review. Enter the series or view the corresponding star rating and an optional verbose review and click Submit when you're done publishing your review.
