The CDC says that most patients should isolate at least 10 days after their symptoms started, and can end isolation at or after that time if their symptoms subside and they have been without a fever for at least 24 hours. However, some seriously ill patients may need to be isolated for at least 20 days, the agency said.

But Conley didn’t say if the president tested negative for the virus that might still be present in his body. And there is no FDA authorized or approved test that can tell when a person is no longer contagious, making it difficult to gauge the reliability of the tests Conley cited in his memo.
The latest information leaves out some important information for assessing Trump’s health – such as the condition of his lungs and whether he is still damaged by the virus.
In the course of his infection, Trump received a combination of treatments that few, if any, other coronavirus patients have taken together. Although the FDA has approved the widespread use of an emergency drug – the antiviral remdesivir – and dexamethasone in the market for decades, Trump also received an unproven antibody treatment from Regeneron.
