The Galaxy Note 10 is a radical departure from what Samsung has traditionally done with previous versions. The most striking change is the fact that there are four different variants. Samsung also turned the Touch 10 power button into a Bixby key, which means that turning off or restarting the phone is a bit different.
Many were glad to hear that Samsung got rid of the dedicated Bixby key. We did not realize how it would affect the other buttons on the phone. If you press and hold the power key for a while, Bixby defaults to the traditional shutdown, restart, and emergency mode menus. Fortunately, there are two new ways to access this menu, and we will both outline them below.
To bring up the Power menu with the physical keys on your Note 10 Press and hold the Power key and the Volume key. Keep both buttons pressed for about one second (if you press and release briefly, a screenshot will be displayed instead). You will then be presented with the Start menu where you can select "Power off" or "Restart".
Alternatively, Note 10 now has a power button on the screen , To access it, simply swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Settings menu. Then tap the power icon to the right of the setting gear to quickly see the power menu, and then choose what you want to do from there.
