On Android, you can uninstall an app by going to Settings, selecting "Apps", selecting the app from the list, and then tapping "Uninstall," and then tapping "OK." You can also drag the app icon from your home screen or app tray to the Uninstall button. But if you have Nova Launcher, there is a much better way.
Just long press on the app icon and then long on "app info". In the middle is a small circle symbol with an "i". If you do, you will be asked if you want to uninstall the app. Select "OK" and it will be uninstalled.
You can do this with apps on your home screen or in your app drawer. The latter is less necessary, however, because the Uninstall option already appears in the pop-up menu when you long press an icon in the app tray.
