Using themes in Windows 10 for a more personal desktop experience



Imagine a large white room with nothing but a boring brown desk and a boring brown chair. That's not fun, right? It is sterile and seems to suck off every creative drop from your soul. What you need is a workspace that belongs to you and feels at home. We'll show you how to use themes in Windows 10 so that your PC's virtual desktop does not get boring and sterile.

You can purchase Windows 10 themes in four ways: the Microsoft Store, third-party Web sites, device manufacturers, and people who share their topics. Installing themes from the Microsoft Store is safest, while new desktops and laptops are usually (at least) supplied with a custom wallpaper.

From the desktop

This method provides the shortest path to topic management.

Creating a Custom Windows 10 Design

Since we are here will be an option to create a custom theme displayed. Let's start from scratch if you want to create a custom theme later:

The Monochrome option provides 24 preset swatches and an option to click the "+" to create a custom color.

. Select Color to change the interface color. Windows 10 has 48 color patches and an option to click the "+" to create a custom color. Here you can also select where the accent color is displayed, switch between light and dark app modes, and toggle transparency effects.

6. Select Sounds to change the Windows 10 sound scheme.

7. Select Mouse Pointer to change the appearance of the mouse cursor.

8. Click Save topic .
. 9 Name your topic in the pop-up window.
10th Click the Save button.

Sharing a Custom Windows 10 Theme

As we're here, we'll talk about how to share a custom theme by creating a file that friends and family can install:

Using the Control Panel

If your nostalgic soul just can not let go of the old-school control panel, there's a way to access the hidden personalization panel we loved in Windows 7 and older:

Use the File Explorer

Use this method to install themes downloaded from third-party sites, Or if you want to do that, take the long, scenic path of the old school. Windows 10 stores your designs in two major directories:

  • Standard Designs – C: Windows Resources Themes

    1. Click the folder icon in the system tray to open the File Explorer .

    2. Locate the destination where your downloaded topic is located, such as . Eg downloads. If you want a standard theme or a manually installed theme, copy one of the above addresses and paste it into the address field of File Explorer.

    Use a high-contrast topic.

    If you need a theme that is just black and white, as in the old days of MS-DOS, you will find it in another part of the Settings app.

    You can also choose the file explorer route by going to C: Windows Resources Ease of Access Themes and double-clicking a * .theme file.
