Although the films are produced in collaboration with Marvel, they are distributed by Sony Pictures and exist in a different world from the MCU. So do not expect your favorite MCU stars in Sony's world to play their roles.

If he is Venom, Brock (or whoever is the host) has incredible strength and power.

The talk about a Venom movie goes back to 2007, when Topher Grace played Eddie Brock in a small role in Spider-Man 3. This particular film is in some form in work another since 2016, with Tom Hardy cast in May 2017. Is Venom a rogue? Venom is perhaps best known as a Spider-Man villain, but it's not that simple.
