Now that some of the Biden family business secrets are no longer secrets, it’s easy to imagine Joe Biden asking the same question Robert Redford asked in the 1972 film The Candidate. After winning a Senate race he wasn’t expecting, Redford turns to his handler and wonders, “What do we do now?”
That’s the end of the film, but the story of the Bidens is just beginning. What Joe Biden has to do now is tell the truth. The whole truth.
So far, the Democratic presidential candidate has gotten away with the fiction that he never spoke to his son Hunter about Jäger’s suspicious business relationships in Ukraine, China, and elsewhere. The repeated claim was never credible, particularly when it was revealed that Hunter had flown to Beijing with his father on Air Force Two and received a $ 1
So they flew to China and back together and we are supposed to believe that the father never asked the son who he was seeing in China and why.
Come on dude.
Joe-know-nothing’s defense has now been exposed as a lie by the posting of an email from a Ukrainian advisor to Burisma, the energy company that put Hunter on its board for up to $ 83,000 a month. In the email, Vadym Pozharskyi thanked Hunter for arranging a meeting with then Vice-President Biden.
“Thank you for inviting me to DC and giving me the opportunity to meet and spend your father [sic] together for some time, ”said the message from April 17, 2015.
Joe Biden’s staff do not deny the email or deny that the two men met. Their only defense is that there was no such meeting on the Vice President’s official schedule. That’s a gap big enough for a truck to drive through.
So Joe knew a lot, and the public deserves the truth about what he did to help his son monetize the vice presidency. However, my feeling where this story will lead in the next few days is that the Ukraine perspective will not be the focus.
China will be. If the emerging pieces of the puzzle fit together as suggested, Americans will learn that the entire family of Joe Biden’s notoriety, including Joe himself, made money doing business with elements of the Chinese government.
Once again, the Post was the first to open the door, this time by posting the email showing that Hunter and Jim Biden, Joe’s brother, were part of a group trying to partner with Chinese individuals, the energy projects and projects may have included American infrastructure. Millions of dollars were debated, making the deal a godsend for the Bidens and a propaganda coup for China.
The email sent by one of the American partners to Hunter and two others listed extensive cash payments to the partners as well as possible holdings. Hunter, labeled “H,” was supposed to get 20 percent, and the deal listed “10 Jim” and “10 thought by H as the big guy?”
Sources have confirmed to Fox News that the “big guy” was Joe Biden. I was told by another person who was aware of the agreement that there was documents and other evidence of Joe Biden’s involvement.
If that’s true, Joe didn’t just know about this deal. He was there – up to his eyeballs.
One possible defense is that the email was dated May 13, 2017, five months after he left office, and he was therefore free to make such arrangements. There are two problems with this argument.
First, I hear previous emails indicate that discussions with individuals in China started much earlier than Joe Biden was Vice President. You could at least uncover a serious conflict of interest.
Second, the mere fact that Biden wanted to work with China after leaving the White House is an explosive campaign issue. The vast majority of Americans, with good reason, hold an adverse opinion on China and would likely punish a candidate who tried to do business with the communist government.
If the dial clock is running, the stake couldn’t be higher. But Biden has not passed the first test of how he will deal with the scandal.
The Democrat was asked by a CBS reporter on Friday to respond to the Post’s reports. He called it a “smear campaign” and berated the reporter for asking the question.
This is not going to work. Good reporters are not intimidated, and voters are likely to smell a rat if they are unwilling to answer legitimate questions.
By now Biden should know that there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.
In addition, in Thursday’s debate, President Trump will certainly accuse Biden of rampant corruption, so Dem needs a better explanation, or the problem could skyrocket in a few days.
The developments are also a test for the big media and big tech companies that operate a Biden protection racket. Facebook and Twitter blocked users from sharing the Post’s initial reports, an outrageous example of political interference. For their efforts, the companies were rewarded with subpoenas from Congress to testify this week.
CNN, the New York Times, and the broadcast networks are trying to help Biden by ignoring the story or knocking it down. Washington Post columnist David Ignatius advocated the defense on Saturday by taking the absurd view that the Burisma story “is not a scandal but part of a personal tragedy for the Vice President’s son caused by the spread This week, Joe Biden’s role has been compounded by what looks like disinformation. “
It is true that Hunter Biden’s drug addict life deserves sympathy, but that does not absolve him from taking his father’s rulership and certainly does not release his father if he violates his oath of office and public trust.
Ignatius’ claim to disinformation would undoubtedly be Russian disinformation. The whole thing is that Vladimir Putin is trying to help his top American agent Donald Trump, right?
That was the Deep State’s line in 2016 and it worked so well back then. Just ask President Hillary Clinton.
Blasio’s free ride is over
The decision of the city’s first lady, Chirlane McCray, that she will not run for President of the Brooklyn District is bad news for Mayor de Blasio. Now the family will be struck off the government payroll in January 2022 and both must get real jobs. That should be interesting.
De Blasio certainly gave his wife every opportunity. He founded ThriveNYC, a poorly defined mental health agency, so she could show off her talents, and she responded by having $ 1 billion with little to show off. Can taxpayers get a refund?
Amore? You can kiss it goodbye!
From Breitbart News: “A couple in the northern Italian city of Milan were fined 400 euros by the police after they kissed publicly in violation of Wuhan virus regulations.”
No kissing in Italy? The world has gone mad.
