Tomorrow is the day – Apple will unpack the long-awaited iPhone 12 and all its variants. Ordinarily Apple would hold this type of event in September, but nothing is normal and everything is strange in the year of the virus. So we’ll get iPhone announcements in October.
This event, which Apple teased with the words “Hi, Speed,” takes place roughly a month after the company̵
Last year Apple introduced three iPhone 11 variants: 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. We expect updates for every iPhone 12 with the “regular” versions 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. But there will probably be another one too A new addition to the iPhone 12 Mini – a 5.4-inch phone with a lower starting price than the others. It looks like the Mini sits right between the iPhone SE and the iPhone 12 in Apple’s lineup. Clever. Given the nickname “Hi, Speed” for this event, we can also assume that all versions of the 12 will have 5G connectivity.
Other recent rumors suggest that Apple may unveil a new version of its MagSafe technology, this time for use with a phone case and wireless charger. Magnets in the MagSafe case may help users to quickly and easily align the phone with compatible wireless chargers. I’m not sure if charger alignment is really a problem, but okay.
Lastly, we should see a smaller HomePod, precisely called the HomePod Mini. It is rumored that the same S5 processor is found in the Apple Watch Series5 and SE models.
Apple’s long-rumored over-ear AirPods Studio and tile-like AirTags were originally rumored for last month’s event, but that didn’t come and go a word about it. The word on the street was that we would see them walking around like that, but that can’t happen now either. I think we all have to be careful to find out the details.
You can watch the event live on the Apple website or on YouTube, which is embedded below.
