AEPA.

Answer: Ants human colonization of the planet Earth.

The most successful of all ants is the Argentine ant. The ant, originally native to South America, has spread slowly across the globe through hitchhiking with humans. Argentine ants are known to form huge colonies with hundreds of millions of ants living in a huge interconnected house.

The largest known Argentine ant colony extends about 3,700 miles along the Mediterranean coast and the Atlantic coast in southern Europe. Although not all colonies are so large that they cross dozens of international borders, the world is covered by several megacolonies ̵

1; the state of California, for example, has a colony that stretches for about 800 kilometers along the coast.

More interesting is that ants from Argentine ant colonies separated by oceans (as in France and California) recognize themselves as members of a global megacolony of Argentine ants and do not attack each other. If they could cross the oceans, Argentine ants from one of the continental colonies could move through the tens of thousands of miles of underground roads built by each supercolon.
