When you place your iPhone over an Apple Pay card reader, your standard card is always called up. This may work well for you, but maybe that's not the card you want to use. The problem is that you don't have time to switch cards before payment is complete. This can result in you using your rewardless debit card to buy groceries if you could have made 2% less money with your Apple Card.
For this reason, we recommend opening the wallet app first. Here you can quickly change the map by simply tapping on it so you can use the one that makes the most sense to you. Too much credit on the Apple Card? Instead, simply switch to a different direct debit or credit.
When you select a card, place your iPhone over the card reader as usual and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the payment using Touch ID or Face ID. If you switch to a reward card, e.g. For example, one for Starbucks or AMC, you are probably scanning the barcode instead.
There are actually a few ways to open the Wallet app. You can tap the app itself on your home screen at any time. However, you may prefer to double-click the Home button or the Page button on the lock screen. The latter saves a lot of time and doesn't require you to crawl your apps every time you have to pay for something. Note, however, that you must have a payment card in your wallet beforehand, not just a reward card. 19659006] Cover picture and screenshots of Jake Peterson / Gadget Hacks
