If you're like me, check the Play Store regularly a few times a day for app updates. Whether I hope to fix a broken app or add a new feature (eg the dark mode) instead of waiting for the "Updates Available" notification, I want it now. What if I tell you that there is a faster way?
You're probably updating your apps by opening the Play Store app, expanding the hamburger menu, selecting "My apps and games," and finally choosing "Update all." This is a possibility, but not the fastest.
Instead, long press the Play Store icon to see the app shortcuts. Hold down "My Apps" and drag the shortcut to your home screen. If you'd like to update an app now, tap this new icon and you're on the Update tab under My Apps & Games. There you can click "Update All" to update your apps. As promised, only two touches.
