With the introduction of iOS 12, Apple has introduced a new app called Shortcuts. Well, technically, the app is not new. Shortcuts is just a renamed and more powerful version of Workflow.
Tap the Add link, and then tap Add shortcut to add one of the following shortcuts to an iOS device. Alternatively, you can view the steps in each shortcut before you add them to your device, find out how it works, or actually do what it promises.
Below are nine shortcuts that are useful for just about everyone
Amazon Price History
The next time you buy something that you do not need right now, use this shortcut to check the price history of an item , The easiest way is to display the item in the Amazon app (or in Safari) and use the Share button to send a link through shortcuts.

If you overuse battery life, this Reddit shortcut uses the current battery level, compares it to the predefined settings, and adjusts the performance of your device to match the last few minutes of power Getting Your Battery Out
Installing Main Applications
One of the biggest tasks of setting up an iPhone ($ 999 in Sprint) from scratch is to search the App Store and install all your major apps , With this link, also from Reddit, you can enter the name of apps without which you can not live. The shortcut will then go through the list and provide links to any app in the App Store for easy download.

Converting Video to Gif
Sometimes an animated image is easier to share, or better suited for a quote than a video. This shortcut will show you your videos, select and edit them, and then create a GIF.

Shoot a GIF
This shortcut opens the camera app, ready to take a certain number of photos (four by default). After the last photo has been taken, the images are merged into an animated image.

Downloading files to iOS is not the easiest process. Use this link to share a shortcut to shortcuts to the file. Then the app downloads the file and asks where you want to save it.

Extending the URL
Shortened links can be used shamefully to hide the true destination of a URL If you're suspicious of a bit.ly- Link (or any other abbreviated link) that takes you somewhere he does not belong, then use this shortcut to display the extended URL.

Save your Shortcuts
I found this on the Sharecuts site and it will certainly be useful if something happens to your shortcuts. By default, iCloud links are synced between your iOS devices, but if you ever get started with your database, you'll be glad you backed up your links.

Where to? Find More Shortcuts
I have found the shortcuts in this post on various websites and services. Some come from the time workflow was first started. I did not keep track of where I found some of the shortcuts, so if you've created any of the shortcuts listed above, please contact me and I'll give you credit.
That is, I find new shortcuts, or at least inspiration for my own shortcuts, in the following places:
- Reddit: The Shortcuts Subreddit is full of passionate users who are constantly creating, optimizing and discussing shortcuts.
- MacStories: Federico Viticci is probably the most passionate shortcuts user, and he shares some pretty complex creations on his website. In addition, he actually explains how the shortcut works, often line by line.
- Sharecuts: A free website that hosts curated shortcuts by different users.
- Gallery: The Shortcuts app has a gallery listing various shortcuts. I've listed some of them below.
